I actually remember seeing this mix being mentioned on Gorilla vs. Bear a couple of weeks ago but I never listened to it. Until tonight that is, when I recieved a mass email from DJ Never Forget himself containing his new “Going To Work” mix. It’s a seriously hot mix but honestly you can’t go wrong when you chop up and create music from the likes of Hot Chip, The Knife and Mstrkrft. I think a lot of DJs don’t get a lot of credit for the work that goes into making mixes like this, as it seems so easy just to toss a bunch of random songs together but listening to this mix the songs flow into each other so seamlessly. It’s a really good selection of tracks on display here.
I personally love a good DJ mix like this, as i’ve said numerous times before that it’s the kind of stuff I like to kick back and nod my head off to while at work. I checked out his myspace page which contains a few older mixes that are just as good. He’s also part of a collective group of DJs based out of Brooklyn, “Williamsburg’s newest muther fuckin dance party” Finger On The Pulse. Anywho, check out this great mix and let the ass shaking begin. Because admit it, you know you want to.
