I’m sure most of you have heard that new Killers track that’s been everywhere lately, if not then you can take a listen to it here. You should listen anyways because it’s the precursor to “one of the best albums of the last 20 years”. I’d rather not upload it myself as i’ve had enough of The Killers for about…..the rest of my entire life. Don’t get me wrong, the revival of 80’s new wave or whatever that started with bands like Franz Ferdinand and probably every band from last year that had ‘The’ in their name has been great. This kind of music though, i can only take in small doses over a short period of time before i get sick of it. Obviously mainstream radio did not know this and i heard those songs so many times that by the time the year was finished i had wanted all those bands to die slow, painful deaths.

If you want an alternative though to these type of bands and want something that might be a little bit fresh then check out Boy Kill Boy. They’ve been blazing through their native UK for the past year and are looking to hit our lovely US shores with a bang. I had a chance to listen to their debut album and it’s extremely catchy pop-rock. Seriously, beginning to end this album just strangles you with it’s infectious hooks. If you like this kind of stuff with a little ‘edge’ to it then give it a listen.

Civilian will be released here in the US on July 25th. Head over to Torr’s site as he’s got a nice little interview guitarist/vocalist Chris Peck and check out more tracks on their Myspace.

    Awesome.

I was looking to hear more than just the one song I had from Boy Kill Boy (Suzie). Now that I have I will have to go out and buy some more.

    Thanks.

i crowd surfed during the killers when they opened for the yeah yeah yeahs, so i’m very biased. but yeah…they have a lot to live up to after that statement. the music blogs have been having fun with that one.

I don’t have a problem with The Killers, i mean i own Hot Fuss, i just got tired of them through the constant radio play they recieved. It was extreme overkill.

Stefani, the album is really good, no filler at all really.
