With my computer still dead, i’ve had a lot of time away from this madness. I still read blogs, but not really listening to anything. One blog that i regularly read is Swoon. Besides posting mp3s, they actually take the time to actually write about music and what it means to them. Well i read this article the other day and it just struck a nerve with me. It seemed everything i had been thinking about recently with what we do here was on this article. It’s worth looking at, and a great blog in itself.
What was said there was the general idea i had for this blog as well. Of course my mind is not capable of writing something like that, but i can definitely relate to it. For me, I guess i kinda got caught up in this mp3 blogging madness, it was new to me and a bit overwhelming really keeping up with everything. Of course i’d post anything new i’d hear on this site but i’d still keep it to artists I enjoy. I think at first this has overall been a little too much for me. The first few weeks, i lost plenty of sleep listening to anything i could just to make a tiny entry on here. To then go to work exhausted to come home and repeat the process. It was terrible and i burnt myself out, noone should be doing that. I definitely don’t want people here doing it either.
Anyways, i know a few people have been a bit down about not keeping up with everything and posting new music. I just want to say, like i said to everyone who accepted posting on here that the idea was just to have fun. You could put here whatever you want, a place to freely write passionately about music and to share that passion with our friends.
