Extremely late on this news, but that’s the kind of thing that we take pride in here. Late is better then nothing at all. Anyways, Matador has posted a new track off the forthcoming Yo La Tengo album, wait for it………I Am Not Afraid Of You And I Will Beat Your Ass. I’m sorry, but that’s the best album title i’ve heard of in my entire life. The album of ASS beating commences on September 12th (Sept. 4 in Europe), so you have plenty of time to prepare yourself with bandages and any other medical supplies.
Sample this track off their site entitled “Beanbag Chair”. It’s good and poppy, which i assume is what they invision as ass beating music. On Yo La Tengo’s site you can download lots of nice live tracks and tracks off previous albums.

Yea Yo La Tengo is good stuff, i have one of their previous albums. They’re a band that i’m not that huge a fan of, but i respect their work a lot.
