Just some stuff i came across recently. A few festivals coming up in August in the south and the midwest, and highly convienent for people who didn’t want to pay out the ass (like myself) to go to something like Bonnaroo. Tickets for each are reasonably priced. I’ll just copy and paste descriptions for each, cos i don’t feel like typing.

Attendees are able to engage panelists in topics ranging from getting their songs played on the radio, new media forms such as podcasting and blog promotion, licensing their music for movies, TV and video games and presenting music to record companies.
The 2006 event will take place August 10-12th in Indianapolis, IN. Music Showcases will take place in a variety of nightclubs, live music venues and cultural points of interest centered around Broad Ripple Village.
“I went to MMS 2004 as a panelist and left a true fan of Indianapolis. The panels were informative and covered a ton of ground and the showcases were fantastic. There is a great music scene going on in Indy and I was proud to be a part of it, even if it was only for four days.”
