We all love lists, admit it. We love reading and scuritinizing them just as much as writing them ourselves. So with this do with it as you please as this is my personal favorite songs of the halfway point so far of 2006. I wanted to do this earlier in the month just completely cold turkey but when i sat down to compile, it proved a bit more difficult then i thought as i never had put much thought into it until that exact moment. So this week at work i gave myself plenty of time to give a listen to some stuff to actually make this list more worthwhile.
In doing this, i gave myself the four following guidlines:
A. One song from each artist only.
B. No remixes (Sorry “Gold Lion” Diplo mix)
C. Nothing that hasn’t been released yet (Sorry Sufjan, Thom)
D. Nothing from around this date (since it’s kinda late into june, sorry Sound Team)
So with that being said, let’s get started! These will be in no particular order to avoid the headache of actually trying to rank these songs, i’d rather save that task for the end of the year list. I hope some of the contributors here follow suit because i’d love to see your lists considering i haven’t really talked to any of you about music hardly at all. Got any favorites i didn’t list?
