Neko Case / Martha Wainwright – NPR Live Concert Series

Continuing the theme of live concert recordings. NPR’s All Songs Considered recorded and streamed a show Neko Case performed (with Martha Wainwright opening) at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. earlier this month. I’m only mentioning this because Neko played a show in Atlanta earlier this month. I had wanted to go for months, but couldn’t find anyone to go with…i had put off getting ticket till like the week of the show and unfortunately they were sold out. This is the next best thing though for me. I knew it was up but never had time to sit down and listen to the entire thing. The entire show is available as a mp3 download, and boy is it HUGE.

Also if you haven’t, i definitely recommend picking up Neko’s latest album Fox Confessor Brings the Blood. It’s such an excellent album. Her voice is truly just so amazing. I’m pretty sure she could read a phonebook and it would sound completely mindblowing. The album has pretty much been on constant rotation when i’m at work. I seriously just can’t get enough of her music. I just hope she comes back to Atlanta soon cos i’m still angry at myself for missing it.
All this uploading…good grief. My little account thing i signed up for on Ezarchive was like 100mb for about $5….i’m quickly approaching 100mb already sadly. I think it’s around $28 for 4.7 gigs, now that is a hell of a lot of space ok. I don’t mind paying for it either if people are actually downloading this crap. If you are then please reply so i know. I’m doing this for you guys…and uh because it’s fun as hell. I never really looked into music blogs at all really. The more that i’ve been reading them, the more i feel i’m completely missing out. Something new to me that i put in here, i notice has been put somewhere else weeks…even months before. Way to be put to shame seriously. I still love it so far, i’m not trying to be the first person to break new bands or whatever. This is just my little corner of the internet devoted to my friends.
