I got off work early today, so since it was still early i decided to see what was out. I had only heard about this remix album a few days ago, so i wanted to see if this was released. Of course this was not at Hastings, nothing ever is that i’m looking for typically. I’m not sure if i’d buy it or not anyways only because it is in fact a remix album. Most of the time albums like that have about the same song remixed 4-5 times. Not suprising this contains the same, “Mushaboom” is remixed on here about 4 times. This song is so instantly catchy that I haven’t met one person who doesn’t like that song.
If you hadn’t heard already she’s coming out with an album later this year. Even in 2006 people are still discovering her Let It Die album and that was released in freaking Canada in 2004. I think i can hold off on the remix album and wait for the new release. But to those who want more then this should tickle your fancy till then. The “Mushaboom” remix by The Postal Service was released a few months ago on Itunes which is contained on the album as well. It’s an ok remix, sounds like…well…postal service but sprinkled surprisingly with Ben Gibbard’s vocals. I’m just bringing it up cos it’s the only song i have to upload.
