First of all, anyone who hasn’t listened to Andrew Bird’s The Mysterious Production of Eggs then i beg you to stop what you’re doing, go to your nearest music store and buy this album now. If you haven’t heard him now then you’re missing out on one of the most brilliant albums to be released in 2005, or i’ll just say it…a few years. Not saying that his other previous releases aren’t great either…cos they’re definitely worth mentioning as well.

I figured i’d post this since it’s the only live recordings of Andrew Bird that I have. Also to those who haven’t seen his magnificent live shows in person (shame on you!), his show is just a site to behold. Basically a one man gang besides the drummer. The man does it all, violin, guitar, WHISTLING. The man is a godly whistler, i’m sure if he just sat there whistling i would be saying to myself that it was the greatest thing ever. Anyways, i have the entire show he did at The Metro in Chicago. I’m just going to post a few songs to give an idea of what he’s like. If you want more then i’ll post the entire show. For those those who are looking into wanting to see him live, according to his site he’s currently on a European tour but will be back in the states for a few festivals.

    I’d love more.

I saw him here in Bloomington in February. He is a godly whistler and quite adorable and tiny. I was very close so I know.
